Golden Series (Part 1): Ageing and Nutrition | TOYL | This programme is suitable for participants aged 50 and above and caregivers of all ages. Ageing comes with many unfamiliar experiences that can affect our physical and mental well-being. What should we do to prepare ourselves for this and ensure a smooth journey as we age? In this session, we will share the common experiences faced as we age and methods to cope with them. Additionally, we will also touch on how nutritional requirements change with age, healthy eating, and reading of food labels. This programme is jointly brought to you by the National Library Board and Bedok Polyclinic. |

All About Aphasia and Dysphagia | TOYL Celebration | Did you know that different neurological conditions like dementia, Parkinson's disease, and stroke can cause difficulty with communication (aphasia), and swallowing (dysphagia)? Aphasia and/ or dysphagia impact quality of life and can lead to social isolation and other problems. Caregivers can now learn ways to support communication and manage swallowing difficulties of their loved ones.
